Transparency of quality of ambulatory care: An international comparison
Cooperation project with the Federal Association of SHI Physicians (KBV)
This project is part of a larger study funded by the German
National Association of Social Health Insurance (SHI) physicians
(KBV). The aim of this project is to gather information about quality
measurement initiatives in ambulatory care existing in Australia,
England, Estonia, France, Israel, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland
and USA/California.
The project will include a review of
scientific and grey literature and a survey of experts in the selected
countries in order to address three main research questions:
• How is quality measured?
• How is it reported?
• Are the results used to
support and sustain quality improvements?
The results of the
project will be used to inform future decision-making in the area of
quality measurement in ambulatory care in Germany.
