Patricia Ex joined the Department of Health Care Management in July 2014 and is pursuing a PhD in the field of reimbursement mechanisms of new medical technologies. Patricia has been invited to present parts of her dissertation by several national and international conferences for health economics and public health. She gained extensive experience in health policy as strategy consultant at WMP HealthCare GmbH and through her work for the Vice President of the German parliament (Deutscher Bundestag) and former Federal Minister for Health, Ulla Schmidt. Prior to this, she led the Berlin office and managed the political affairs of a medical specialists’ association.
Patricia received a double Masters in the Erasmus Mundus Euroculture Programme at the University of Göttingen and at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain as well as a Bachelors degree in English linguistics and gender studies at the University of Bremen, involving a year as teaching assistant at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, USA.
