Claudia Maier is a researcher at the Department of Healthcare Management since October 2015. From 2014-15, she spent a year in the U.S. at the University of Pennsylvania, as Commonwealth Fund Harkness / B. Braun Fellow. From 2011-14 Claudia Maier worked at UNAIDS on health systems strengthening, the integration of the HIV/AIDS programs in national health systems, task-shifting and -sharing, and HIV/AIDS investment cases. From 2008-11, Claudia Maier was employed by the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, where she worked primarily on the E.U.-funded PROMeTHEUS research project on health professional mobility in the European region, and organized policy dialogues on health policy reforms in Europe. Claudia Maier has also previously worked with the European Commission (DG Sante), a state-level Institute of Public Health in Germany (LÖGD), WHO, and at the University of Bielefeld, Germany.
Currently, her research focuses on the EU-MUNROS project  on new and extended roles of health professionals in Europe. Since 2014 she is a PhD candidate at TU Berlin.
