Verena Vogt

Verena Vogt, MSc PH, Dr PH, is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Berlin University of Technology’s Department of Health Care Management and the Berlin Centre of Health Economics Research (BerlinHECOR). Verena studied Public Health at the University of Bielefeld and the University of Sheffield. In 2017, she was a visiting scholar at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy (MCHP), University of Sydney.

Verena’s research activities focus on health care services research in the ambulatory care sector and health economics. Verena is currently involved in research projects on geographic and perceived access barriers to ambulatory care services (captureACCESS), integrated care for persons with multi-morbidity (SELFIE) and innovative care projects for optimised pharmaceutical treatment (OAV). In addition, she is pursuing research on techniques to identify practice-based ambulatory care pathways and developing indicators to measure low-value care in German routine data.

In addition to her research activities, Verena is involved in teaching at master levels in Public Health and a blended learning course in the field of Health Technology Assessment. She also played a significant role in the development of the master’s course in Public Health (MSc PH) at the Berlin School of Public Health (BSPH).
